I will be 59 in February and the average age at diagnosis is 60. I am a DES baby. That means that I was a female baby born to a mom who took a drug called DES or diethylstilbestrol to prevent premature birth. All of these babies are known for two things: very high rates of lesbianism, and very high rates of uterine cancer at around age 60.
I am scheduled for an abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound in February.
I’ve been having symptoms of the disease.
Is uterine cancer something a doctor has spoken to you about or just something you’re worried about ?
No need to worry Gina.
Have you gotten it checked out with a doctor?
I’m wishing you the best.

Yes, I’m getting tested for it in February.
Fingers crossed everything goes ok. I’m sure you’ll be fine.
Good luck @SkinnyMe.
I’ll be praying for you.
Thank you @Wave.
Good luck. Transvaginal ultrasounds are horrible. I’ll be sending good vibes.
Don’t let your head go there until a doctor says that’s what it is! Don’t stress yourself until the dr says to stress about it. Seriously! You’ll make yourself crazy thinking that way!
I’m not afraid of a cancer diagnosis. If it’s stage I through 3, I’ll just go through treatment. If it’s stage 4, I’ll just die, no big deal.
Oh, no!!! I didn’t know that transvaginal U.S’s were horrible? Now I’m afraid of the diagnostics.
I know it’s difficult but try not to worry.
Like others stated, wait for the diagnostics.
Transvaginal ultrasounds are really that bad, just awkward because you have to stick the camera probe into your vagina for them. It doesn’t hurt. It’s a little uncomfortable and it’s awkward. You’ll be ok. They do this all the time so don’t let yourself be embarrassed.
Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. It’s just really uncomfortable, especially if you’re not used to having anything in there. Take some ibuprofen beforehand if you can, it should help.
If it is cancer and it is stage 4, I’ll get hospice definitely, and I’ll get to join my son, mother, father, brother, aunts and uncles, best friend, grandparents and the Lord in heaven. Not such a bad deal in my book.
I hope you get good results, no cancer. I hope it’s not your time. I know you believe in God. He will help you through this. (sorry to get religious)
Wishing you the best Gina
