I just ate a purple potato and

when I mixed it with sour cream it turned lavender color. It was so pretty. Tasted just like a regular potato only a little finer, smoother texture.

I’ve never heard of one. I thought you meant it was spoiled.

My sister bought home some purple potatoes. They were little. I didn’t even know they existed. Pretty cool stuff.

I had no idea there even were purple potatoes. Sounds interesting. Do they taste like russet potatoes?

Th small purple potatoes are typically from Peru or Ecuador. They’re a native plant species in the Andes mountains.

I’m also having a potato for lunch, but it’s not purple. I’m jealous! I’ll have to keep an eye out for those at the market. :potato: :unicorn:

When I was at my local Trader Joe’s grocery store yesterday, they had Peruvian potato chips that include white, red and purple. I bought some but haven’t tried them yet.
