it was a little league all star game in a tournament championship. the pitcher was throwing hard for little league but throwing strikes. anyways i squared one up and launched into the sun over the center field wall. i never saw it clear the fence because of the glare in my eye, and my 1st base coach got all excited and i realized i hit a home run haha. i never hit a homerun before so was shocked at myself. i remember i jumped up and down rounding 2nd base because i didn’t know what to do. i was hitting like.400 or better up to that point but after that i started to swing for the fences and was striking out all the time. i went from being the leadoff hitter to hitting 9th in the order by the end of the summer haha. after that season i never played baseball again. i think it was my last year of little league, we were pretty good. then when my classmates were in high school they made it the semistate in baseball and lost 2-1 in a pitchers duel to the eventual state champs. they are still sore about it haha. one of my high school coaches for basketball used to be a minor league baseball player and he was always trying to get me to go out for the baseball team, but i wasn’t interested in baseball. if i played i probably would have been a 2nd basemen.
my one and only home run! they even gave me the ball. but i don’t have it anymore, probably got lost or whatever.
