I have the ADOS-2 assessment in an hour

I am being assessed for autism and have this in an hour over zoom. I am very nervous and cos it’s 90 minutes I don’t know if I can concentrate enough talking to someone for that long. After this my mum will go for the assessment on my behalf and it’s 3 hours. Im super anxious! They will give her a translator.

I struggled making up a story for the task. I couldn’t do it. I don’t think I’m autistic I have a learning disability clearly

When will you know the official outcome of the tests?

Is it a long wait?

No my mum still needs to do the assessment part. Could take a couple of weeks.

I guess that’s a reasonable amount of time after you have waited for years for the assessment.

There was this one where I had to show someone how to brush their teeth. Simple task that I couldn’t do.

You paid for it instead of waiting a little bit longer?

There was also questions about expressing how you feel inside your body when you are happy or sad I couldn’t even do that I mean how do I express that

No I didn’t pay @Moon the appointment came through yesterday for today.

I think I pestered them into giving me an appointment sooner by asking the admin team too many questions I feel like that anyway.

That’s great then!! I was concerned lol. But yeah don’t think too hard about it and just be yourself and be honest.
