I have not seen a pdoc in years

Had an appointment a few weeks ago as I was. struggling badly with the anxiety, but turned out I saw a nurse and not a doc…I just have to wait for my dbt therapy for anxiety.

Same here.

I haven’t seen one in about 5 years.

The one thing I like about healthcare in the USA is that if I want to see a dr I can. I may need a referral due to certain insurance requirements, but they’re easy to get

I did 8 months of DBT and it helped a lot. Definitely worthwhile.

It says on my report that its for anxiety and autism , although initially I had thought it was for borderline personality disorder (I don’t have bpd)

I think there’s a lot of overlap between BPD and autism, especially in females. I have autism and find the skills helpful for things like emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills.

How do you get your reports for social security if you don’t see a pdoc?

A couple of months ago I had 4 weeks to provide a recent report from a pdoc. If I wasn’t a regular client that would have been impossible.

I lost my health insurance after my divorse in 2013. Haven’t been able to afford a pdoc without insurance. Not much else I can say.

I just provide old reports, and I also included a recent autism report. Also nurses do write reports.

I said reports a lot.

That’s okay :white_check_mark: You’re lucky that they accept that in the UK.

In my case they said that the report couldn’t be older than 6 months.

And nurses aren’t allowed to write reports here.
