I have an interview on Tuesday for a carer assistant job

Does anyone have any words of how to be ready, good for interviews, or encouragement?

I really want to attempt this line of work and hope for the best.

I don’t know the situation. I don’t know how formal the interview will be, It might be just be like an interview like any other, like when I applied at Target or Sears.
I would just say do the basics and dress nicely for the interview and be well groomed. Jeans are usually too informal for almost any interview. Have a nice haircut and make sure your hair is combed and your teeth brushed and your nails clipped etc. These are the simplest things you can do.

I always remind myself to ask the interviewer a few questions just so they know I’m interested enough in the job and it helps so that I talk enough.

There’s many websites you can go to that give you an idea of what an interviewer will ask, and how to answer them. I suggest looking at a few of these but don’t overwhelm yourself, these websites will list a bunch of questions but it’s doubtful they will ask them all in the interview. But if you have an idea beforehand of what they are going to ask and how to answer it might take a little stress and pressure off of you.

Just go into the interview with a good attitude and a healthy interest in the job which shows the interviewer you really want the job. I hope you get the job, good luck.

i think it is important to look at the job specification provided to you at the time of application they usually base their questions around the critiea listed on there… so try to come up with some scenarios and examples from previous experience work or school etc.

Also I find this quite helpful when coming up with examples to their questions: STAR … Situation - What was the situation , Task, - What your task, job was to do, Action, what you did to resolve the issue, and what the result and oucome of that was…

Good luck

Take notes, you can take notes with you as long as you do not refer to them all the time… and asking questions is also always goood at the end
