So I was denied state health insurance when I applied because they said I had too much of an income. The weird thing is though I don’t have any income. I appealed and now I have a hearing to make my case. I’ve never been in court before so I am quite nervous, and I hope that my caseworker will be with me for support.
I just hate having to deal with all of this. I am pretty busy and also going in front of a judge makes me really nervous.
Yeah I get you.
I don’t think anybody wants to have to go in front of a judge.
Hopefully ur caseworker will help calm you and be supportive.
Best of luck. Seems weird to me that you have to appear before a judge for free health insurance
After I left my job as an Eligibility Specialist for the county I did a few hearings as an advocate for recipients to help with their Medi-Cal cases and for our hearings the Judges appeared over the phone. It made me a lot less nervous to talk in front of the Judge that way. Maybe your hearing will be like that too. If not, hopefully it’s just you and your representative, the fair hearings officer and the Judge in a conference room. It should be fairly informal. I hope anyway. Good luck.
Good luck @Air,
I hope you get it,I don’t see why not
