I guess it’s a new older one as it has Android 12, but it should be good for the two years I have to make payments on it. I got the phone from my cable company instead of the prepaid ones I have had. I just got WiFi from the cable company last summer.
This is what I’m busy with now, giving everyone my new phone number.
The phone is $10.41 a month plus tax, no big bucks.
I don’t have any low cost plans to choose from in my area. I have stellar credit and still don’t qualify for a cheaper plan. That’s why I haven’t gotten a new phone in so long
Well my WiFi is $45 a month, but I’m getting the US government ACP credit for $30 a month based on.my income alone. You may want to see if the ACP credit is good for phone service. My understanding is that it is.
The $45 a month includes a streaming TV box that I use instead of the old cable TV channels box.
The latest version of Android is available for Google Pixel phones cause they are both made by Google. I have a pixel phone which is why I have it already.
Other android phones usually have to wait a bit before they get the latest release.
Yeah, the reason why you have to wait for android 13 is Samsung takes plain android from Google and customizes it for their phones. That customization process takes time. You’ll get it in a month or two.
I guess I am one of the few here to have a dumbphone. Only one crazy enough
But the old technology of phones focused on convenient size and long battery time which I like. Phones today, even new ones have battery that lasts 2 days tops. I wish they would make a smart phone that was more like the old phones, that they had apps and a internet connection with crummy graphics that gave them a week long battery life. I would take the trade. I don’t really need photo and video stuff on phone. I got a seperate camera for that. The need to charge the phone almost every day is very annoying to me.
