I finally got a job and its permenant. But here’s a problem. I worked there in a different department before and left due to feeling ill. Can they give me a bad reference?

I thought that they aren’t allowed to give bad reference perhaps you could ask them for a reference regarding your abilities at your job
They can’t discriminate
