I get my shot tomorrow

My nurse comes tomorrow. I get my shot of Risperdal Consta tomorrow. I always use a Lidocaine/Prilocaine cream 15 minutes beforehand to numb the area first. It really works. I don’t feel a thing. I have to wash it off with a baby wipe afterwards though. The shots are very, very painful without the cream. Even in the rear end.

I’m glad you found something that works for you!

I’ve had to get a lot of dental work done recently and I was dreading it because the anesthetic never fully works on me so there’s always pain. I didn’t know that wasn’t supposed to be the case so I finally told my new dentist, they switched to a different anesthetic and I’ve had no pain at all!! It’s crazy! A totally different experience.

shots are really painful for me. its not the needle its the liquid going into the body. ■■■■ is thick

What kind of medication are you on for a depot?

invega susstena or however you spell it

Try Lidocaine/Prilocaine cream. That takes away the pain of the shots. Or greatly decreases the pain.

I don’t need shot yet,I am taking highest dose of olanzapine

Can you keep your weight down to normal on that?

Yes,I exercise regularly, but still close to overweight side
