yes it’s been about three hours now and I am completely ready for the colonoscopy tomorrow…liquid diet today maybe but jambalaya for lunch and dinner tomorrow !! I think I got this now.

Good luck! I have my own “scopy” on Friday. A hysteroscopy. Not looking forward to that.

@jukebox I’m not trying to be gross but you might want to sleep with a towel under you tonight. You could have a little leakage with that liquid diet. Not to be gross.

are you 50 doing a routine one?

I did my first one at 51…saved my life…they found 3 out of 5 polyps precancerous. so here I am back at 56…they said come back in five years…here it is. womp.

I had my first colonoscopy when I was 15, in the time before GoLytely (gavilyte-G). I had ulcerative colitis; technically I still have it, it’s just been in remission for over 20 years.

I had to do clear liquids the last 48 hours before being scoped, and the night before I had to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate (liquid laxative) along with Dulcolax. I was up all night on the toilet. The morning of the scoping I had to give myself two Fleet enemas. Not pleasant.

I did it with GoLytely a few years ago. Still not pleasant, but nowhere near as bad. I’m supposed to be scoped every two years, but ■■■■ that lol.
