I feel like im going to jail, and the police is after me for the credit card dispute

I feel like the dispute i did 7 months ago on my credit card, the merchants wants there money back, and they will contact the authorities to get my money back, they will arrest me and send me to jail, its this a delusion and paranoia, this is been on my mind for a while. I dont why im so paranoid about it. what do i do, do you think this is going to happen. what are the chances, i contacted my credit card after a dispute is closed, after 35 days it can’t be repopen, i dont know.

You’re safe. They’re not coming after you for a dispute. No worries!

First of all, you’re being paranoid. They are not likely to come after you for that debt. Second of all, there is no such thing as debtors prison anymore. You don’t go to jail for owing debts.

A credit card dispute is not the same thing as theft. I don’t know any other way to explain it. It just isn’t the same thing.

You said the “dispute was closed”. Even it were open the worst they could do is demand that you pay your credit card debt. They can’t send you to prison for disputing the claim. They can’t even send you to prison for not paying your credit card debt even if they had won the claim. You are safe.

I had to dispute some things before. Stay above board stay legit. If not you may make the dispute process harder. As far as authorities your good. I wouldn’t say it on here a lot of coppers on here.
