I’m sorry on the note of your situation.
Truth be told though. It’s easier for women to get attention than men. I feel like they don’t see that for some reason. They go out to get attention and they receive it. They go out to often they receive to much. So they don’t go out as often.
A male can go out everyday and be ignored for a whole month. Your mother might have especial sympathy and cherish the attention your brother received… because it’s more rare.

Don’t let jealousy ever cause action. Other people deserve attention. If you aren’t getting the right kind of attention… then you probably just need to meet the right people… and they likely will be of your gender.
