I embraced the cloud ☁ tonight

So

My contacts
My calendar
My important files
My important notes

Are all synced to Google’s cloud services.

If I get a new phone, I’m ready to go.

Also I took screenshots of my installed apps and saved those screenshots to google drive so I can figure out which apps to reinstall when I get a new phone.

My fear of something happening to my current phone has greatly diminished !

Google also automatically backs up your apps. You can also back them up manually in settings. When you setup your new phone it asks you to restore apps and settings like wifi passwords etc

I don’t have a smartphone. However I wanted a back up for files on my USB stick. Tried Google drive. Extremely slow to upload files. No way of automatically uploading just new files or updated files. It just wanted to upload all the files each time.So basically useless.

Then tried Dropbox .Again totally useless. Files weren’t synced. Would love a service where new or updated files are automatically uploaded, and not all the files again and again etc. Plus good storage amount for a reasonable price.
