I don’t have a problem with mine. Just going to be my dad, my mom, my sister and a niece and nephew. I’m not going to the larger Thanksgiving dinner that my aunts are throwing so it should be fairly intimate.

I have my husbands brother coming. Twice, he tried to drug me already. My husband confirmed it. It really happened. Twice!

I sorta am too OP.

There are going to be little kids and dad’s girlfriend’s family that I know very little of. I know their names but that’s it.

Hope the kids stay downstairs. I need my refuge.

I could have gone to my sisters boyfriends parents house for Thanksgiving with his family but I declined. My sister doesn’t even really want to go. I’ll spend Thanksgiving alone. My sister is going to bring me a plate of Thanksgiving food from here boyfriends parents house at 6:30. My sister said I could use her house to do homework while she’s gone so I’ll find something to do until 3:00 and then go over her house and have the whole house to myself.

My husband doesn’t want him in trouble with the police because he’s mentally disturbed. We’re letting him over for the holiday but we won’t accept any food or other items from him

The first time, he offered me a mint. Without him ever telling me it contained THC. The second time it was a balm that contained THC. We point blank asked him if it had THC in it. He said no. But right on the container it said contains THC. I don’t care that weed isn’t bad. I don’t use it and I don’t want to use it, especially unknowingly

I’m sure I sound like Mr. Negativity, but my favorite thing about big family dinners is I’ll never have another one. Everybody’s dead except me and my brother and we live far apart. If you know why family dinners can suck, you know. If you DON’T know, count your blessings.

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but tomorrow is my dad’s 64th birthday, so I’ll be going to a restaurant for that.

I like my family and get togethers but can understand the concern.

Still. Be polite and play the game and your out as soon as you can isn’t a problem. Try to have some fun @Jayster
