I hate being focused on or being the center of attention. Especially in public.

I’ve found that most people don’t pay much attention to how you look in public or even really care. If someone says something mean, then they’re incredibly rude. Not your problem.

I’m a chameleon. If I’m relaxing with a friend, I might look ok. Otherwise, my family was always critical and fearful that I wouldn’t be accepted.

My mum has been a bit critical over my life time but if i tell her im ugly she says im not so im grateful for that at least

I have one good picture of me - probably the one you’re referring to. Me with long hair sitting in a recliner. A very special friend took the picture and this is the only reason it turned out better than life.
