I posted not long ago that I thought I was allergic to my fiances cat.

Well, Ive away from her and her apartment for 2 days now and the severe, wheezing cough continues.

This has been going on for like 5 weeks now. First it started with what appeared to be a normal cold. I thought I recovered from that and then this worse “thing” started. I feel ok during the day when Im moving but when I lay down at night, I just wake up awful, coughing and wheezing to the point of vomiting.

THere are so many possibilities. Pnemonia, bronchitis, heart failure, another viral infection, etc.

I guess I need to get back in to the doctor. I’m going to call Monday unless it improves significantly.

This ■■■■ sucks.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this @Bowens back in 2023 I had similar symptoms for 6 weeks and ended up being pneumonia and I had to be hospitalized for a week. I really wish you a swift recovery!

I highly doubt you have heart failure. You are in you’re early 50’s right? Thats pretty young for heart failure.

I’m no doctor but I would say most likely a viral infection.
