Its gone 3am and im wired
Ive been taking diazapam every night recently but tried going without tonight but im wired
Its addictive the dr says dont take it everyday BUT ive a lot on my plate with everything and cant relax? What should i do?

I wish I could take my Lorazepam every day, its so effective at treating anxiety… but becoming physically dependent on them and then going through withdrawal is living hell. Its been almost 2 weeks since Ive taken some. Might tonight cause I need sleep for my tooth extraction appointment tomorrow. Sorry Ducky.

Sorry to hear. My docs don’t prescribe me benzos cause I have a history of addiction. I think they are doable in moderation. Like @TheCanuk said, you don’t wanna become dependent on them or you could find yourself in a rough spot.
My dad used lorazepam for sleep for some years. He had a miserable time getting off them. He went on Ambien eventually.
I would say to try to use them lightly moving forward. Sucks because of how effective they are for anxiety. Ultimately, update your doc and see what they say.

My primary care provider gave me temazepam to take every night for sleep…it works very well. My pdoc wouldn’t prescribe it cuz they don’t do benzos even tho I have no history of addiction. It’s stupid…

I don’t know why, but I’ve never experienced withdrawal from my diazepam. I take it at night. Right now, I’m taking it every night because I’ve been better, tbh. Before, I’d taken it regularly but had gone off of it for a bit. I went cold-turkey, but no symptoms so far as I could tell. That wasn’t the first time I went off of it without weaning, and it probably won’t be the last. I’m on 10mg, btw.

The work to get off doesn’t really make its benefits seem so good
