I don’t want to take this med

It interacts with my Depakote.
There is a major drug interaction between Lamictal and Depakote!

My psychiatrist prescribed me the Lamictal and she reassured me that I would be fine but the pharmacist called me up and warned me of dangerous drug interactions between these two drugs!

I have to be on the Depakote but I might be able to substitute for Lamictal.

What would you do?
Would you listen to your doctor or the pharmacist? https://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/depakote-with-lamictal-918-484-1430-848.html

I’d listen to the pharmacy. It’s also on the web. Just be assertive with your doctor and tell them that.

Yeah thanks @everhopeful, I think that I’ll listen to the pharmacist.
I don’t want to chance getting this deadly skin rash - Stevens Johnson Syndrome and other major side effects.
