I think rumination is a big issue for me. My mind gets stuck on bad thoughts (my failures in life especially). I’m really very depressed all the time. Why can’t I stop this and live life better?
It happens to me too
When I feel bad it gets much worse. And when I’m feeling better it gets better.
All you can say is that you’re alive. And if you didn’t have those “failures” then you could be dead. Butterfly effect type of thing.
There is a way out of it, but it takes effort and commitment. You won’t see immediate results but after 2-3 weeks you should feel better.
The way out is to learn to meditate. 20 minutes a day.
I was a worrier and would ruminate, spoiling my sleep and life. I am now a committed meditator and do 1 1/2 hours a day and have been for years.
You won’t feel it straight away, but the effort is worth it guaranteed.

I tried a little meditation before, mindfulness meditaion. I was just trying some way of getting my messed up head straight. But, I couldn’t commit to it.
