I added a couple of healthier foods into my diet this week. I bought a head of iceberg lettuce and some Roma tomatoes. I used these with a little provolone cheese and some precooked chicken breast strips and put a little spaghetti sauce on it because I didn’t have salad dressing. A bit high in sodium but probably less than quite a few other things I eat.
We also bought two small bags of frozen asparagus and a small bag of yams. The yams are pretty easy to make in the microwave after poking holes in them with a fork.
Sounds good. I too am trying to eat more fruit and veg and it’s a worthwhile thing to be doing. I’ve been working a while on it and starting to lose a bit of weight which is promising.
