I am tired of my bicycles breaking continually

I successfully broke my bicycle again. Actually I had three broken bicycles and I got tired of these always breaking and so today I gave these three bicycles to one recycling center. Hopefully they can use these.

What’s breaking?

Various things were breaking in these bicycles. I am a kind of happy that I gave these to recycling.

Kind of a given on replacing bicycle equipment every now and then. Are you getting a new one?

Don’t know yet, we have a good public transportation system, buses go every half an hour.

I don’t know how to ride a bicycle. Tried it several times, I don’t know how to balance myself. I’m gonna try again next summer. I’m gonna try to ski this winter though.

Wow that’s interesting. Most people get taught as a child, it must be American.

yeah where I grew up, girls don’t ride bicycles on the streets, it’s not very safe.

Ahhh not cool.

Was just talking about this with someone else(the other day)

How do adults learn to ride without training wheels?

It’s gotta be tough.

Just like a motorcycle though, when the wheels start spinning inertia takes over an causes them to stay aligned.

Still there is a lot of wiggle room for a nervous rider to shakes the handle bar and lead to a lot of scenarios.

Good news though! I think it’d only take like 3 hours before you were as confident(and competent) as anyone else on a bike.

yeah. I’m just gonna go downtown, rent a bike and practice in a park somewhere, I might eventually get it.

You’ll get it quickly. Find a straight away and peddle quick. Keep the hands steady. Do that a few times and then try making turns.

I love biking. Funniest â– â– â– â–  to do at 3 am when there is no traffic.

It’s quite easy. 15 characters

It helps to keep your focus farther down the road rather than directly in front of you.
Where you eyes go, the bike will follow.

That and the 3 second rule.
Keep your eyes in front and scan to the left/right, but return back to the front within 3 seconds.
This has saved my skin many times.

This reminds me of my first bike,my pop gave to me when I was 6-7 and my parents were divorced so he didn’t live with us and didn’t know thatni didn’t know how to ride a bike so I took it everywhere but id be pushing it LOL .

I did that for a few months until I figured out that if I got on it on top of a hill I could coast down , all it took was once and I understood balance.

Almost bought a foldable bike before

If you are buying low end bikes like from a box store like walmart your gonna keep breaking them because those aren’t built last.

If you can’t afford to get a “entry level” bike from a good manufacturer like Specialized,Giant,Fuji, Gt,etc
From a bike shop you should save up because its well worth it they usually run between $500-$800 sports equipment stores like Sports Authority have good bikes also and they have sales on last years models.

Or a used high quality bike but id make sure its sound first,if you by a used expensive one ask to take it to a bike shop to have it checked out.

Would getting an urban bike make me want to get out more?

I just bought a bike at Walmart for $130. It has dual-suspension. A bike like that at Sports-Chalet would be about $500 or more. I actually returned a previous, cheaper bike at Walmart because it was breaking. This bike seems to be higher quality, as well as a brand name.

Here’s my bike. I’ve been trying to ride it everyday.
