Brings back memories from the 1980s when everything was so different.
I guess that is cool. I prefer to be in the present where reality is actually taking place. I get the whole nostalgia thing but it is better to be here in the moment. this is where life happens.
I listen to 80s music a lot. It doesn’t take me back. I just remember missing the music and fashion when the decade ended. I was only 12.
I remember having to go to the library all the time. With the internet now I am surprised there are still libraries. I listen to 80s music all the time.
I was in high school in the 80’s, and it was a bad time for me. I wasn’t sleeping much and there are periods of time, events, popular movies and music that I have no memory of at all. But, I was a big fan of U2, The Alarm, Simple Minds, Kate Bush (Newly rediscovered by this generation from a tv show I guess), Peter Gabriel…
My husband was a teenager in the 80’s too and he had a lot of fun. He knows all the music, movies, etc and has really good memories. It’s interesting to hear about it all from his perspective.
I still go to our library. I borrow DVD movies and sometimes I borrow books. They have also the recycling place to where people can bring their old books, films and magazines. I found The Pelican Brief book there yesterday, it is in English and I plan to read it. I have seen the movie a couple of times.
I suppose no one is perfect.
