That was a great article. I think an often overlooked aspect of schizophrenia is the role of the caretaker and just how burnt out they could get. This mom, through her own therapy, was able to recognize she needed a break to meet her own needs so she could be strong for her daughter.

I’ve read the awful stories on the family SZ sister site. These are harrowing. We should be thankful here that we are somewhat functioning with SZ/SZA…
