I’m pretty sure that the military budget is around 3.2% of the economy. I’m also pretty sure that the medical budget is about 14% of the economy, and yet everyone wants to save money by cutting the military budget. I’m thinking that we could save a lot of money by streamlining, eliminating redundancy, and removing the need for defensive medicine from our medical system without hurting the quality of medical care. Fourteen percent of the economy is a lot.
