Taking meds improve quality of life compared to without meds even if they reduce your intelligence. And you’re lucky that Abilify worked for you, my intelligence was higher on Abilify than Risperdal now.

Then tell your Dr about the intrusive thoughts. If he says you don’t have them then you’re wrong.
My mental age was found to be around 8
If you have a problem with that, ban me 
I literally have a disorder that makes socialising harder
