I basically had the mind of an elementary schooler a couple years ago. I went off my meds that’s why I regressed so much. Now I think I have a solid brain for community college. Maybe one day I can have a good brain for a 4 year school.

That Pregnenolone is really helping me comprehend stuff. I can watch sports and movies now. It’s not placebo. My reading comprehension is better as well.

I don’t consider myself to be all that intelligent, though my nurse practitioner thinks I’m ‘cognitively advanced’. I dunno, I feel like I don’t comprehend things all that well.

Yeah I’ve seen a Nurse Practitioner before the VA. Some people don’t believe me when I tell them that they prescribe me meds. I hope you reach your full potential @antidepressant044.

I guess I got smart by reading and studying. I mean there is no other way. Can be supremely difficult or impossible when psychotic.
But never give up and try try again.
Failure can teach you something too.
Like you are good at some things and not in others, so move on and learn something new all the time.
Being smart is not all about college. Trade school can teach you a lot too as dors job experience.
These days in USA anyway, college grads are a dime a dozen. Employers would much rather have someone with 4 years Of job accomplishments.

I’ve had a reading impairment my whole life. So some people could put the same work in as you @katwomansz and maybe get half the benefit. It does make sense what you mean though.

I’m Asian, so I guess I’m built to be book smart. I finished college, have a degree in economics. But street smart, not as much. My IQ is definitely higher than my EQ (emotional intelligence).

I consider myself as smart as a 10-13 year old. But when I have a problem, I like to ask a smart person. That way, hopefully they can solve my problem for me.
I have cognitive impairments, so my tested IQ is likely low.
I would like to be at the same level I was before this all started.
to use the act as a marker for my intelligence since i dont think ive ever had a real iq test, i got a 28 composite but wanted a 30+ composite

I think I am ethically intelligent, but not always as intelligent as I’d like to be in other ways. I think I used to be so much more intelligent before my first major break.
