How should I spend my extra cash? (poll)

I’ve made some extra cash doing freelance translations. around 250$, more or less.
I have several ways I could spend it.

Option 1:
Use some of it for a tattoo, and the rest on xmas presents for my roommates.

Option 2:
Get a phone and a phone case.

Option 3:
Nintendo Switch Lite with Animal Crossing New Horizons.

Option 4:
Tablet + ebooks

How should I spend my extra cash?
  • Tattoo + presents
  • Phone
  • Gaming console
  • Tablet + books

Please share your input!

This is the first money I’ve earned in ages that haven’t been earmarked towards anything aside from “whatever the fekk I want” and I CANNOT for the life of me decide!

Do you have a decent phone now? Presents sounds nice too

I haven’t had a phone in months, to be honest. I do kind of miss having one.

Then I vote for a phone. It’s important to have one

Yeah, I’m changing my vote to phone also.

If you don’t have a phone you’ll need one obviously.

But I’m really chiming in to let you know how awesome the switch is.

The ‘fun factor’ of that system is out of this world. I haven’t had this much fun with video games since I was a youth.

Think how revolutionary the 8-bit Nintendo was. This is on par with that IMO. (Now I’ll probably get roasted for that comment…)

Get the phone first, switch will be around for a while.

It seems there’s a majority for the phone.
Okay, next poll:
Samsung Galaxy A21s
or
Nokia 5.3?

Those are the two best ones within my price range that also has accessories available like cases

Phone?
  • Samsung Galaxy A21S
  • Nokia 5.3

You can kindly donate that extra money to the Montezuma Blu ray Fund.

Did I mention it’s tax deductible?

All actors in this commercial are paid professionals.

I voted for the tattoo and presents, but I say treat yourself first. A new tablet and books sounds fun.

Go for which ever has more processing power and ram. Also idk if Nokia used Android OS. If it doesn’t then definitely go for the Samsung, or you will have less options when downloading apps.

A phone is the most important out of these for me. I think these days ppl spend much more time on their phone as you can do a lot of things with it, banking, social media, music, calling, news, movies, etc

I voted tattoo because I am biased since I want to be a tattoo artist
But reading through the rest of the thread, I think a phone is better if you don’t have one. Phones are useful.

A phone is a necessity to me. I use one every day, usually multiple times a day. I have a lot of business to conduct and couldn’t keep up with what it takes to live independently without one. It’s how I stay connected with family and my shrink and my therapist. I don’t know much about different phones, my phone is an inexpensive one that’s made specifically for seniors. It has big writing and is simple to use.

But also, maybe you should treat yourself out to dinner with the extra money, at least once or twice. It’s mentally healthy to get out there and have fun occasionally though you would need to work around the COVID situation.

Or maybe just designate $20 or $30 to just buying something you want on Amazon.com that you would not normally get, some luxury or something frivolous.

The Nokia 5.3 uses Android.
Nokia used Windows OS in the beginning, but it didn’t have a lot of app options, so now they’re going with Android.

I have a Motorola Moto e, and I’m happy with it, compared to other phones I have had.
