I get 1 h costs 75 EUR no insurance and I can call at at 2pm every day or text or email. I go once a month
It is free and maybe that’s why I don’t get to see mine that often because NHS got too much on their hands as it is.
My pdoc is free too but after October this year they are releasing me from their responsibility so I will have no pdoc.
Uk
My doctor doesn’t really do much either.
My meds cost 150 US dollars each month because the hiring companies see what medical conditions you have to be qualified for work…so I have to take all meds in non-insurance. If I use the government insurance, the companies won’t hire me because I am schizophrenic.
My doctor costs $120 a visit. I’m in the Detroit suburbs and I have a few options for doctors. My current doctor excepts my medicade and medicare. I have no co pays or anything.
Are you in a small town? Try calling your local hospitals to see if they can recommend a doctor.
My current doctor I’ve been seeing for 20 years. We don’t talk on a personal level much. I only spend about 10 mintutes with him every other month. He part of an outpatient resource at a hospital.
In Spain we have Social Security. So we don’t have to pay. But if you go to a private psychiatrist, then it costs 80 or 100 euros. I don’t know exactly, because I go to the Social Security psychiatrist.
Im in nz so the govt sorts it out.
I pay mine out of pocket since she doesn’t participate with any insurance companies. She charges $150 for 25 minutes and $225 for 45 minutes.
I see her every eight weeks for 25 minutes, plus one 45 minute appointment in November when we have to redo disability paperwork. I’m not on SSI or SSDI, I’m on disability through my state’s retirement system since I was a state employee.
Dr M is worth every penny. She’s even given me her home and cell numbers in case of emergency.
I pay 71€ for a 45 min session and 47€ for 30 min with my pdoc. I see her every 3 weeks.
I can call my pdoc for emergencies but he really frowns on non emergency phone calls. I am supposed to wait for my biweekly nurse appointments for non emergencies. For instance, I got in trouble last time I called him. I see my pdoc in person every two months.
I don’t pay anything and I don’t really see one unless my med effectiveness is not good. Oh hail glory to the V.A system
Any doctor who accepts Medicare should see you. Getting SSDI shouldn’t matter. I live in a fairly large city and I think there are only two psychiatrists that accept my insurance.
All the rest you have to pay cash. I have Medicare and Tricare for life from my military service so it never costs me anything to see a doctor. But if you want to get choosy it will cost you. Many psychiatrists in my town don’t take any kind of insurance. I have called around.
But I mainly go to the VA and that’s free for service connected veterans. Before I got my VA rating I did have to pay though. I think it was $15 a visit and each prescription was $8. Now I see them for free and get my meds free too.
