It’s €660 a day if you don’t have insurance. That’s a private hospital now, the state ones are free
I live in Norway which has long socialistic traditions. We have free hospital, free schools up until university, Low-cost kindergarden and other benefits. The price is we pay about 1/3 of our income in tax to the goverment. I think it’s worth it. It put of a lot of stress when you know that society has your back if you get sick.
I heard a story about a woman dying outside a hospital in the philliphines? I think it was, because the family couldn’t pay the bills. That’s pretty gruesome. Democratic socialism is good I think.
Its too expensive to go to the hospital in America land of medical bankruptcy
1,000-3,000 dollars for a month, according to my friends
I’ve been offered a private room when I give birth (cause of mental health) as I have to stay in for 3 days. I’m glad I’ve got a private room cause to be honest being on a ward with other crying babies would really sleep deprive me.
Ever since Little LED was a baby my most persistent voice is a crying baby. It’s so hard to ignore.
so I don’t get it, how is it possible, that one of the most flourishing countries in the world has no public health insurance? this is suck! sorry guys but after I hear what you are getting there, I wanna cry for you…
finally! a sane health system. we in Israel don’t pay also. a normal situation…glad to hear that…
yes, nice, but where is “here”?
Thanks @ola. Yep the richest country in the world by far, and our health care costs are so unbelievably high. I wish a had a graph of how much we pay compared to other countries. It’s ridiculous, and everyone makes fun of us. You know who’s really laughing? Pharma all the way to the bank.
yes it is good. in Israel we pay also, a very high tax price, the more you ern the higher you pay. that is for the best because nobody stays behind. everyone get medical treatment and social help
In the UK we have the NHS. It is free but idk for how much longer. Eek. Hopefully for the rest of my life.
A country in Scandinavia.
sorry man. I really feel bad for you. i guess that the best is get an insurance…
cool! you are from the cold zone1 du you have dears living near by? we have mountains goats in the south and wolves in the north
We have deer, yes. And reindeer. And wolves. I’m not sure we have mountain goats though.
I experienced this when I had the babies. So did Mr. Star. My therapist said this is a pretty universal parent experience regardless of mental health history, because of the sleep deprivation.
Yeah, but it’s not normal when it continues years after the baby stage.
Right, I keep forgetting Little LED isn’t a baby anymore. Seems like just yesterday you told us she was born.
ive been hospitalized a few times for like two weeks at a time and it was like ten grand each time. usa.
i think people who are uninsured as i was then, usually just dont pay the bills.
