I did every odd job under the Sun, including picking Dew worms and chopping wood down in the swamp. But I started working full-time at 17, did 10 years in factories, then 10 years as a computer programmer. Then I woke up from a coma and my whole life had changed

I have volunteered with stroke recovery, Community Care which does Meals on Wheels & Friendly visiting, I did a music group at the Brain Injury Association here in town. But it’s just not the same as working

i have 2000 years

5 years. As a projectmanager in health care. I am almost 40. I will never get back to work in that field. It doesn’t suit me at all and i had too little of a career in it to still be hired anywhere.

I started working at 14y.o. Stopped working after having psychosis diagnosis at 21y.o. 2011. Had some jobs after sz but the two longest full time were one 9 month job that I quit March 2020 and one 1 month that I quit in May 2019. But I finished university while on Abilify, sometimes did full time 5 courses/semester and sometimes 1 course/semester. I wasn’t stable as I quit meds for 2yrs while studying. Before sz longest job I had was 3yrs and I was studying full time at the same time.

I joined the Navy at 17. I am 50. I didn’t work from 44 to about 47. I was on SSDI then. So I have over 32 years of work experience. I plan to work until I am at least 62.
