From about 2005, I loved the freedom we had back then, i didn’t have to worry about getting suspended back then, me and szadmin and previous mods were all on good terms, no problems at all.

That’s because the software running the boards was broken at least half the time. Can’t get in trouble if you can’t post.

I was a member on the very first forum here…it’s been through three different systems…I have been a member for about 21 years.

I joined the new reboot when it came out but had some years off from using the boards. I think it says I’m greater than 6 years but joined the older forum back in late 1999. Bit different the internet back then and it was largely poorly moderated. Interesting times.

The boards were not the greatest but i disagree, i was able to post most times up until the last 6 months or so when the site was completely broken in 201213 i think
And also i am not a trouble maker, there was no problem with what i posted at that point so it was better in that regard my freedom of speech was not impugned and i was not subject to the current judicial system or its associated reprimands,
i was recently suspended for 6 weeks for what i consider to be absolute garbage and that would be the 2nd or 3rd time during lockdown it has happened when people like us need help and support the most,
Since late 2016 I think.
I came to the forum scared and psychotic, and honestly wasn’t planning on sticking around. But fate would have it differently, and I’m glad I did.
I’ve met so many wonderful people here and have learned very valuable things about my illness and how to handle it.

I’m new to the forum, I’ve been on here less than a month. I had previously signed up to read but I forgot I did that. At least I believe it was this forum.
So far, I’ve enjoyed it because it’s a welcoming environment or it has been for me and I’m happier with my acceptance of sz as a diagnosis so I am more open to learning about how others cope with a similar life condition(or temporary condition, not for me tho)
It’s opened my eyes to how hard working we are as a bunch, generally speaking, and that’s inspiring.
