Ive been on a CTO for at least 8 months now, they renewed it about 2 months ago. I was wondering if they can keep me on it indefinitely? If not, they can kiss my ass when it ends im so out. Seeing me only once every 6 months is probably the worst thing ive experienced thus far. Id rather take my chances in the wild.
Do you think id be able to get my CTO removed if i told them theyre using information about me from what ive posted on the internet in the past? They trapped me anyways, the psychiatrist that first wrote in my psych record isnt even from here and has been writing in my records since day 1. I think i may bring this up with my lawyer.
They have had me on an ato since 2012. So 8 months is nothing. If you tell them they are tracking you you r for sure going to raise red flags. It’s not so bad
Idk what CTO is but why are you not getting a say in your treatment?
Get off it as quickly as possible, and then make some advance decisions regarding your care. I assume you’re in the UK? Get a local Mind Advocate
I think being argumentative and demonstrating elevated paranoia is a great way to extend your CTO.
What does CTO stand for in this case?
Community Treatment Order - You get one if you are not making healthy decisions regarding treatment and they legally force treatment on a CTO if you’re so ill and not complying
I think it’s extreme
Thanks @Joker
I’ve been on one since 2011. Continuously.
The best way to get off one would be to genuinely show you would continue taking medication if the CTO was stopped .
