Seroquel at 100mg used to help me sleep however the thought of going higher than that scared me olanzapine was hard enough I’m no longer on seroquel thank god

You have a point of view until you get another. I got diagnosed with pre diabetes one month ago so I got the idea that it was caused by qutiapine so I’ve begun to tapper down to detox the lever. And yesterday I drank loads lesser amounts of water. I think that Qutiapine works well for detoxing from other drugs. And I think that Qutiapine is an excellent meds. for detox from other harmfull drugs.
I am of the opinion that Qutiapine was the only atypical I could find any use for.

I used a benzo and 25mg of quetiapine to sleep. And stop anxiety. It was my first antipsychotic. My situation was ■■■■■■ up. I don’t remember it did much. Except change me into a train wreck when I quit.

I used it a second time. 100mg. I had a real bad response, it left me forever terrified of antipsychotics.

Not my med. Sorry. Hope it does better things for you.

My friend was fine on it. She said it felt like a sugar pill, with no side effects. Reactions vary.

It helped me finally sleep after several years of night terrors. It also made me gain 90 pounds (40.82 kg) in 1 year!!! No thank you!!! I stopped taking it. I slept constantly and ate constantly. Ugh. Good riddance!

I dont take it but my gf does. I ended up popping one last night and slept really well. But i also feel a bit brain-foggy this morning from it. Im more used to the non sedating abilify kind of ap med. Which i am currently on.

I do agree with all of you because I had most of the effects and side effects you all mentioned.
I will never forget how well that good drug worked on the with drawl from the drug I got off.
I don’t want to say anything bad about the meds. I just had to get off of qutiapine because the large amount of meds I was on was making me borderline diabetic.

The same thing happened to me on quetiapine. I gained so much weight!! Olanzapine is much better. I don’t gain. It’s sorta hard to lose, but at least I don’t gain gain gain.

@Lickety-split I gained some weight on olanzapine. But it’s plateaued. I really need to lose though. I’m quite obese now.

I may not be the “normal” experience. But I don’t sleep at all if I don’t take it now that I’ve started. I also lost more than 90lbs after being on it for a year. I take 400mg a day. It has been a positive for me. It’s not an exaggeration I really don’t sleep when I miss doses. I’m not tired I’m just awake. For days at a time. We all have different experiences with this drug. It is a miracle drug for some folks.

Seroquel and clozapine are what I call pass out with low blood pressure pills. If it works for ya move forward.

Clozapine caused my tachycardia and actually raised my blood pressure a bit…

I still take it though at a small dose

I lowered my Qutiapine to 400 mg and the water dinking problem has really improved.
I really like the way qutiapine and Clopixol makes me feel. So content and quiet and non combative. Yes it really makes my brain feel like a mild and gentle lobotomy that makes me manageable and peacefully. Thumbs :+1: up to Seroquel.
