I believe delusions are shaped by our environment. truman delusions would go by the wayside. Probably most simulation theories too. Aliens weren’t big 300 years ago.
How would your delusions be different if you were schizophrenic long ago?
Oh my delusions would’ve been in black and white and not in color like they are now
Our delusions are so much more colorful these days aren’t they
I imagine further back than 300 years,
For the longest time it was all spiritual.
Some people probably thought we were crazy,
Some people probably thought we were truly in communication with spirits.
I imagine there was still a lot of that going on 300 years ago.
Probably a lot of paranoia about family and community.
I don’t think delusions of being watched or spied on is new in any point in time.
300 years ago was recent enough to know they probably locked us up.
But before that,
Those of us with enough insight to manipulate people,
But symptomatic enough to have positive symptoms probably did very well.
Great time to be schizophrenic!
Just no running water, electricity, you probably were the “doctor”.

my delusions would be the same (Persecutory delusions and delusions of reference) except the ones related to new technology such as radio, telephone, security cameras,tv and the internet because they weren’t invented yet.
