How do you really feel about tipping?

I’m British and here in England we don’t really have a tipping culture. But when I’m on vacation such places like Sri Lanka or Turkey I do tip especially the hotel room cleaners when I’ve left a mess with beer cans and full ashtrays on the balcony. I tip well and they are happy. When I was in Dalyan, Turkey in April this year I got the lovely bar person 200 carton of Cigarettes which he was was very happy with as well as the hotel Concierge guy who was helpful when my support worker went missing on a boat trip. He was happy too. In Turkey you’re talking $30 US for 200 cigs for the decent ones which the Turkish can’t afford. So I’m not a stranger to tipping. But in England I never tip even for food deliveries and it isn’t expected. Do you tip and what for?

i always tip deliveries but usa is crazy when it comes to tips. like i tip because its polite and good thing to do, but many people who work for tips talk on the internet like they are entitled to a tip and how bad the pay is that people are living off tips. if anythings they should complain to their boss for paying so little that the majority of their income is based on generosity, tips are optional but ive heard of people doing scummy stuff because they didnt get tipped well enough,

I usually tip about 10% when I get takeaways. I’m in the UK too and tipping isn’t expected but is usually appreciated. Not always, there have been occasions when I’ve offered a tip and it’s been refused.

@cigarino I hear quite often a waitress running out of the restaurants because the person hasn’t tipped enough. Here in the UK if a breakfast and coffee is £8.95 ( Like it is in my town cafe) thats what you pay, they don’t expect tips!

I don’t tip when my local Takeaway is less than 0.6 miles away.

I tip to stimulate the economy.

I always thought LSD was dangerous; I wouldn’t touch it again.

I’ve taken LSD many times, no more dangerous then mushrooms

Maybe. Some people get really messed up on it, especially if they abuse it and take it a lot or take more than they should. That’s why I said it’s dangerous. And I didn’t touch the stuff after I was diagnosed with schizophrenia. I couldn’t imagine taking it while I’m psychotic. I would probably never “come down”.

I tip generously for pretty much everything. Especially when I’m on LSD.

The antipsychotics really counter-affect the potency with the dopamine receptors and all. Same as Coke and MDMD.

Tipping is animal cruelty, plain and simple. Leave the poor cows alone.

I tripped quite a bit before I got sick. Too scared to try it now. Have you ever had a bad trip?

I’ve had mushrooms and coke on antipsychotics and it hasn’t been as intense experience as before.
