That’s great and all, and I hope that alleviates your worries some.

But, in all honesty, a few minute test you do online is most likely not going to be very thorough or really give you an accurate idea of where you stand cognitively, IMO.

Ok.

I just know I took some cognitive/memory tests related to schizophrenia in person like 5 or 6 years ago and it took several hours to complete.

But if you are satisfied with the results, I wish you well  .

The test I took was extremely thorough. I remember it had like these blocks you were supposed to memorize the pattern they were in on pictures and then arrange them. The tester would read like short stories and then ask you what phrases were are were not in the story. Or maybe you read the stories yourself. I dont recall for sure. They also did definitions of words and a lot of other stuff that I cant fully recall at this point. It was years ago.

But we are also in different countries, so I don’t know. I’m also not sure about how you go about getting this type of test.

Mildly amusing story. When I was psychotic the first time, my short term memory was just awful. It may not be perfect now, but it was much worse in psychosis.

Anyway, I told my nurse practitioner at the time that I thought there was something wrong with my memory. So she gave me 3 words to remember. It was something then “rabbit, deck”.

Anywho, we did other stuff and then a few minutes later she asked me what the 3 words were. I successfully answered.

But rather than be pleased that my memory wasnt completely destroyed at the time, I went home and thought there was something going on with our deck and this red eyed rabbit figurine that my mom had in my room from before i moved back in.

So the whole thing just made me more paranoid. Isnt psychosis grand?

Edit: I think the first word was “blue”. So “blue, rabbit , deck”

I did cognitive testing in the hospital done by a neuropsychologist. I did average and my pdoc told me to not go to university. I ended up going anyways and got my degree

My cognition is bad when psychotic

I just remember when I was first in hospital they asked me 10 questions like spell the word ‘world’ backwards. I thought they were really easy and I didn’t get any further cognitive testing.

I don’t think I have much cognitive dysfunction now not being psychotic but my negative symptoms are really bad and prevent me from using my skills.

Are your negative symptoms a bit better since you’ve lost so much weight?

Just wondering

No they did not improve

It’s several years since I’ve tried the test on that site. They’ve upgraded it. They’ve chosen to reject my login details although they’re the right ones that are stored in Firefox. I’m not going through the fiddle faddle of registering again.
