How do I get out of eating my sister’s dinner she cooks?

She always over-salts everything. I might as well get a salt lick and suck on it. She means well

Tell her it’s too salty!

She just left her abusive husband of 20 years. So she’s staying with me and instead of charging her rent she cooks dinner. Her food is delicious except for too much salt.

just tell her to half the amount of salt put in…that it’s way too salty and you are afraid it might hurt you.

My two sisters are good cooks and they know it. I have never cooked anything for them but they don’t ever let me cook for them. They are just rude.

I have the opposite problem when my husband’s brother comes to visit, everything he cooks is so bland. I appreciate that he cooks for us though.

“Hey sis, I love your food, but could you ease up on the salt?”

We went to a local hamburger joint and the burgers were over salted.
Tasted terrible!
I was very disappointed as it was a well known franchise.

My sister loves my cooking but had to tell me to ease up on the salt, no biggie, I like more salt I just add it afterwards. It didn’t hurt my feelings in the least. Just tell her. I would rather her say something than suffer. It would make me feel bad if I found out she was choking it down or going hungry because she didn’t like it.

You could say you are worried about high blood pressure so could we halve the salt in our meals? Say you heard that helps?
