How did you get court ordered forced meds?

I never did eventhough my parents called the police 911 on me. The police brought me to an ambulance then they followed us until the hospital where they followed me everywhere until I took the pills the emergency psychiatrist gave me. I wasn’t even sent to mental hospital.

It was the emergency section of a general hospital.

I don’t know, my guess would be that it would happen if you committed a crime and went to court, but that is just a guess.

My mom called the police on me too, the cops came to the house, arrested me, put me in handcuffs and took me to the hospital.

The first time I was offered meds I refused and they didn’t force me. Then it was the second or third time I was hospitalized I agreed to take the meds, after some convincing I got over my hesitation and took them willingly.

I kept going to emergency rooms saying there is a speaker inside of me and eventually they gave me court ordered meds.

I didn’t get court ordered meds but I did get court ordered ECT. I had been a patient in a private hospital and I started to have premonitions about setting the hospital on fire. They then sent me in an ambulance to the public hospital and I was deemed unfit to decide on my own treatment. I then had to go to a tribunal hearing and the judges decision was that I was to have ECT treatments without my consent.

Thats horrible. My psychiatrist refused prescribing me ECT, he said its for depression and not for sz.

That’s so awful! You must have been so scared. I’m so sorry you went through that.

Yeah, they diagnosed me at the hospital with psychotic depression. I was catatonic too. I can’t remember a whole year of my life as a result of that shitty ‘treatment’

I got ECT for depression when I was 16. It was forced on me in the psych ward I was in. It was really awful. And I lost a lot of my memory too

It was very scary. And I wasn’t allowed to see my family. No phone calls or visits were allowed. I got emancipated during my time there.

i refused medication every time i was hospitalised.

last time i was afraid the medication was poison or going to make me crazy or hurt me.
i refused so they held me down and injected my bum with medication since i refused to swallow.

after the injection i slept and when i woke up i took the medication they gave me.
