I normally don’t pay much attention to baseball, but one year I followed the Cardinals. They had a mid season slump, and it was looking like they weren’t even going to make the playoffs. I was saying the Cardinals might as well write this season off and work on rebuilding for next year. Then the Card’s got a wild card berth in the playoffs and went on to win the World Series. Shows how much I know.
