I’m currently limited to 1 Gbps. My switch, my Ethernet cards, my Ethernet cables are all 1000 Mbps. I wired up my house about 15 years ago. At the time 1 Gbps was super fast, and no ISP offered those speeds so it was future proof. Now not so much, but I get along find with 1 Gbps, I don’t really need anything faster at this point.

I could switch to WiFi for all the computers in my house because it has the potential to be a lot faster, but the TV in the other room is connected to my modem in the back via WiFi and it cuts out on occasion, we got a WiFi extender from Rogers but it still happens, I’ve found Ethernet cables more dependable.

I want Ethernet so my ping is lower in video games.

Fiber, DSL, 4G. No 5G where I live as yet.
