I drink Robusta coffee because arabica coffee makes me depressed.
There’s 2 types of coffee, arabica and robusta.
NES café original is robusta, but nes cafe gold is arabica and robusta blended together, so I avoid nes cafe gold, and I stick with nes café Original.
Most coffees in coffee shops are arabica, not robusta. So I avoid them.
Here’s why and how I drink ice coffee over hot coffee….
First I try and limit drinking out of a kettle because of high levels of chromium. I also have a glass kettle instead of plastic to avoid BPAs/plastic. I still use a kettle but only now and then, or for cooking something. I try and avoid using a kettle if I can.
Second…
You must freeze the coffee before drinking it, or you won’t feel very well because of mold. Every coffee contains mold, and when you pour boiling water onto coffee it destroys mold (which is a good thing because you don’t want mold obviously).
When you freeze coffee it stuns the mold, but doesn’t destroy it, so it’s best to drink frozen coffee within 24hrs or so after every cup you make. That way the mold on the frozen coffee will be safe to consume, and the frozen mold will pass right through you without any worries.
So you must freeze your coffee for at least 4 hours for it to fully freeze if you’re going to drink cold coffee.
Plus you will notice the taste is completely different with a lot of fruity notes if you have it cold, as opposed to having it hot.
