How a psychiatric condition can steer who we fall in love with

I was unhinged when I met my ex wife but my wife was in worse shape than me.

I suffered with bipolar disorder/SZA while she had severe Borderline.

Not exactly the same thing but it’s still about two severely mentally ill people attracted to each other

My ex husband was sz. And he kept it a carefully guarded secret but I read it in his medical records after our divorce. Sure explained a lot.

My current best friend (and ex gf) is sza.

Apparently I am doing everything wrong as someone with autism and SZ.

She has it second-hand.

Well, one sz in the second hand is worth two in the bush.

I’ve only dated one person with a mental illness. She had pretty mild borderline. I did also date a girl who would go on to develop classic ocd. That being said I’m pretty sure everyone I’ve dated has had some kind of attachment disorder. I mean what percentage of the population is completely healthy? It can’t be that big a number.
