Quite an interesting quote, but one could argue that the certain amount of fear may keep us alive, for example I am afraid of snakes and I would not like to be without some fear in the jungle where there are many snakes, just my thoughts.

Fear is an awful thing. I hate paranoia! It’s a sickness all it’s own. My delusion wouldn’t be nearly as bad if I wasn’t paranoid on top of it.
