I agree with not comparing yourself with others. We all have our own path to walk, our own burdens to bear. Gotta do the best with what we’re given, I’d say.

I think I’m always comparing myself to others.
It’s hard not to. Especially if I’m in a low mood, I compare myself to others and think of myself as lesser. But I have to stop myself and remind myself of how good I have it in life.
@everhopeful do you compare yourself in a negative or positive way? If it’s negative, never forget the impact you’ve had on people here and I’m sure that translated to real life too. I know personally I’ve relied on your wisdom and patience here. A post from you is like gold to me.

I always compare myself to people who are doing better than me. It’s a bit masochistic really.
That’s the perfect way to put it. In future I will use that.
When I’m comparing myself to people negatively I will say “Stop. You’re being masochistic. You don’t live their problems.”
I’m starting to talk myself out of delusions at the moment and I think I can apply the same method to everyday bad situations.
