Home schooling or institutional schooling

Institutional schooling exposes kids to other children allowing them to make sound social judgments, but can also be a form of oppression taking away the child’s ability to be themselves.

Home schooling makes children more self-reliant and able to work for themselves, but it cuts out the lessons in social cohesion that an institution provides.

We’ve opted for half and half with my nephew so he gets the best of both worlds, and he’s doing well.

It is crucial to get an institutional curriculum that is tailored to the make up of the students. This has nothing to do with ability and everything to do with talent and interest.

Home schooling allows for family traditions to be passed on which should never be formalised.

Play time within the institution for students to share there family traditions if they feel so inclined is also crucial.
