Help with streaming device

I thought maybe someone would know…Do I put my TV on the “Cable” or “Air” setting. The cable streaming box is plugged in but doesn’t work. I currently have a flat screen TV with DVD player, and I use an antenna.

It’s really difficult getting to talk to a person with the cable company, with the automated system.

Air is for antenna.

You put it on Cable, I believe. Did it come with a thing to plug in your TV’s HDMI port?

Then you go to source and choose the HDMI port it is plugged into.

Thanks @anon4362788. I think I’ll play around with it today and see if I can get it to work.

It’s plugged in to the electrical outlet.

If you have a Roku or similar, it will make a massive difference to your tv if it’s not currently capable of streaming online

Ok, just remember that you have to have it set on the HDMI port to get the signal to show.

Oh you dont mean cable or you mean a streaming device like Roku or Android tv/box? These arent called cable box, I thought you were talking about cable box.

I don’t really know. The last time I spoke to someone with the cable company he called it a streaming device. I pushed the “Input” button on the TV and it gave me the HDMI option. I got further along this time, but couldn’t get the voice remote to work, but it works pushing the buttons. Maybe it isn’t a voice remote.

Yea Air is for antenna and HDMI is for streaming boxes or computers and consoles.
