Help me make it through the night

I haven’t been able to fall asleep for hours after I go to bed. Does anyone have any techniques that work?

Blast a desk fan at full bore near your head. Doesn’t have to blow at you…just the white noise will help!

Same idea…jam your television between channels. I suffered from an overactive mind for most of my life and getting to sleep was always a drama! White noise can be your friend!

Have you tried any “binaural beats” music off youtube. I find it more calming then white noise. Always sends me to sleep.

Read a book until your eyes get tired and your head noddy.

Stop worrying. I know how hard it can be at night to stay calm, it’s at night when my voices and anxiety used to bother me the most. Maybe just try to keep your thought neutral and your mind blank.
I use 50 mg of Benedryl or an equivalent to help make me drowsy. It’s just a common, over-the-counter antihistamine and sleep aid. It’s not anything harmful or addictive and it works surprisingly well.
Hope you can get some proper rest @PinCushion. Pleasant dreams.

I like listening to Chant-The Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos. Works like Xanax for me.
