Heart Stopping Real Life Moment!

I was driving on a busy road during rush hour…we’re all doing 70 clicks, and this little terrier/poodle saunters out into our traffic!

Everyone was slamming on the breaks…swerving…honking…it was mayhem.

So I slapped the hazzard lights on…ran out of the car and chased the little rascal to the side of the road. After running a few circles, I finally scooped up the little dog…people were cheering as I threw her into my car away from harm. I read her tags and dropped her off at the nearest Vet Hospital. I contacted them later after work, and the owner was safely reunited with his beloved pet.

Phew!

If this makes the local news tomorrow, I will tell the news stations that I am schizophrenic and don’t want any attention…and to just start a Go Fund Me page to raise money for the treatment of schizophrenia. Most of us don’t go into movie theaters with guns. Most of us just want to hide under the couch.

Anyhoo, it’s good to be back…at least for a short spell.

It’s just one of those moments. Everyone was in shock and kept waiting for someone else to do something. I just said f*ck it…not on my watch!

I know it must feel really good.

It was a bit funny though. The people in the cars all around me who saw everything transpire were cheering and honking…but the people behind my car were pissed off that I practically held up about a mile of traffic during rush hour!

:yum:

Well you did a good deed.
I know the dogs owner is extremely grateful for your actions.
You should be proud.

Thanks for the kind words, @nfy

I think sometimes we are all challenged by a higher power.

“You define the moment, or the moment defines you”

Today I defined the moment! :slightly_smiling_face:

I like the challenge, helping others is what we were all born to do.
Well that and love each other.

I was blessed with a great Father. He’s the most responsible person I’ve ever known.

Just a few weeks ago I wrote in his father’s day card…

"Your continued awesomeness has not gone unnoticed"
