Probably because when we were little we would talk to people and say, “when I grow up I want to be a doctor, have 3 kids and a husband with a big house” etc or whatever it was you said back then and those kinda thoughts stick with you. We grow up (well a lot of people, not everyone) expecting this because as a society that’s just what people do! No one ever told us when we were young that Prince Charming isn’t coming for us, we will have illnesses that prevent us from our dreams or that life could be this hard.

that’s a shame. you deserve to have someone. maybe he’ll come around to the thought of marriage after awhile.

If you give him an ultimatum, you may scare him off. But, hey, at least youd know. Sorry that you feel stuck.
